Match report the champions crashed back to earth with a big defeat away at takeley. No excuses, we ran into Takeley on a good day for them. A poor start saw bengeo 39\3 after 16 overs. Gray with an entertaining 23, Potter 57 and Ruskin 56 put on 116 on 23 overs. Both batsman hitting some maximums, Potter rediscovering some form, from his previous spell where he relied on power to blast his way to a half century. Ruskin played a defence role and cut
Loose with 10 overs left. Bengeo should of passed 200 but regular wickets yielded very few runs in the last 5 overs . 188 was a score at least. After a fine tea bengeo took an early wicket with a run out via Craig walker . this is as good as it got for bengeo as missed chances and dropped catches saw their opener smash 133!!! Ebbo and Greeny took a wicket a piece. Takeley cruised 190/3 off 35. Next week we are at home to Aspcc . 1.30 start, should be a good game...
