Chadwell Heath v Bengeo Cricket Club Bengeo C.C on Sat 17 Jul 2010 at 1:30
Bengeo Cricket Club Lost 30 runs

Match report Bengeo cc lost a game they should of really won on saturday.

After winning the toss Heath decided to bat and reached a par 219-6 on what was a very quick outfield. Probably 30 runs more than they deserved as some sloppy fielding and wayward bowling at times from Bengeo should of restricted the home side to 190-200 max. These extra runs would cost Bengeo as they finished up 30 runs short. Whilst fielding Potter took 2-46 off 10, helped by wickets from Ruskin, Guy and Bateman. Heaths opener hit a streaky ton after being dropped a few times and some missed stumpings all didn't help.

After tea, Bengeo started off well, Dellow smashing a four off the first ball. But Walker and Ruskin again failed with the bat as Heath gained control at 20-2 off 5. Potter and Dellow started turning the game back in Bengeo's favour with some good running and big hitting as Heath got frustrated. Dellow strating to look inform again until he miscued one to point for 33. Bateman and the inform Potter attacked the Heath bowlers and Bengeo had control at 110-3 off 22 at drinks the game was Bengeo's to lose. But Potter lost his balance in the crease to the spinner and was stumped, a tidy piece of keeping which turned the game. Baeman carried his bat for a superb 66* and the tail wagged abit to earn some extra batting points as Bengeo finished on 189/9.
Next week Bengeo host seconfd place Cloghams in what is a must win game, a defeat for Bengeo ends any slim hopes of a promotion in 2010!!
