Match report Inform Mark Potter passed 500 league runs in only 8 games as his 59*, well supported by Ian Ruskin 42 saw Bengeo home by 6 wickets on saturday.

After being put in the field in the sun, fine opening spells from Dowling and M.Walker restricted the home side to 41-0 off 15 overs. The second 15 overs went the same way as Nix (1-22) and Guy (2-48) held the home side to 96-1 off 30. Hatfield's game plan was to try and blast the last 15 overs to 200+ but this never really happened as Bateman took 4-33 in 6 overs and a run out from the returning Robinson saw Hatfield end up on 172-8, a score above average on a track that favoured bowling.
After a fine tea, Bengeo started up with Nix and Bateman and these two set about chasing 172 down by hitting a few early boundries. Nix (6) was somehow bowled by a ball that hit every part of his body before rolling onto the stumps and Bateman soon followed, being given lbw for a quickfire 19 as Bengeo found themselves 28-2 off 6. At the crease was the inform Potter, who took a little while to get going but he and Robinson soon took the score past 50 after only 11 overs. Robinson (13) was out shortly after drinks with the score on 60. Still with Bengeo on top, Potter and Ruskin saw off the opening pair, Ruskin batting fluently and keeping the run rate above 4 all the way through. The change bowling saw Potter regulary pierce the off side field with some lovely cuts and cover drives and Ruskin joined in by hitting some huge sixes as Bengeo raced to 125 off 26 overs. Ruskin took apart the young spinner before being bowled for (42), a great stand of 82 with Potter which all but sealed a victory for Bengeo. With the 150 up in the 33rd over Bengeo were all but home, Potter decided to end the game in style going 6 6 4 4, seeing Bengeo home and passing 50 for the 5th time this season as Bengeo march on !! .
