Last Saturday, 27th August, saw the 1st XI seal promotion to the HEBL Premier Division for the first time.
Going into the final game of the season we were 3 points behind Potter Street & Church Langley but they crucially had to play Champions-elect Hockerill in the final round of fixtures. Hockerill duly completed a win meaning once we reached 160 runs in our chase promotion would be secured.
A 5 wicket win over Little Hallingbury, including a match defining inaugural hundred from Grahame Bowman, saw them clinch second place in the league behind Hockerill.
Well played everyone who has turned out for the firsts this season.

We can now confirm, unless the league change their promotion metrics, that the 2nd XI are also promoted. After the last round of league games the 2nd XI finished in third place and are promoted to Division 11 along with Lutonian 3rd XI plus Kimpton who will be promoted to Division 10.
At the start of the season the aim of the team was to get game time for the growing membership and to learn and progress. We are achieved this and so much more. Everyone has contributed to a season where the team as a whole delivered on multiple occasions.
